National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University is a NC-SARA approved institution. The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education. SARA is overseen by a National Council and administered by four regional education compacts.

Additional Accreditations and Program Approvals

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s Athletic Training Program has been continuously accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education since 2003. The next regularly scheduled comprehensive review of the program will be in 2028-2029.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s course-based Business programs (including our daytime BA and evening MBA Plus programs) are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs accreditation. ACBSP is a specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. “The association embraces the virtues of teaching excellence and believes that scholarly research and inquiry activities facilitate improved teaching.†This specialized accreditation is in addition to our current accreditation with Higher Learning Commission (Excerpts from ACBSP Gateway). LU course-based Business programs received initial accreditation in 2010, reaffirmation in 2021, with the next reaffirmation in 2031.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University students earning the B.S. in chemistry degree will carry an American Chemical Society accreditation. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s chemistry program is the only one in the St. Louis area without a graduate degree program in chemistry to hold ACS accreditation.

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Nursing Program currently holds initial program approval from the Successful completion of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Nursing Program does not guarantee eligibility for nursing licensure. Applicants in the State of Missouri can be denied licensure based on any one or combination of causes stated in the Missouri Nurse Practice Act Section 335.006.
